Literacy

Traditionally, literacy is the ability to use written language actively and passively; one definition of literacy is the ability to "read, write, spell, listen, and speak". ... A basic literacy standard in many places is the ability to read the newspaper.

Math

The definition of math is the overall group of sciences that study numbers, shapes and their relationships. An example of math is arithmetic, the study of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
